ME: Hey, I like you. We should go out some time.
GIRL: I’m not really looking for anything at the moment

(2 weeks later after a lot of flirting and suggestive messages every night … )
GIRL: So when are you taking me out then?
ME: I thought you weren’t looking for anything?
GIRL: I think I do actually like you.

(After me being tired and stressed and slightly snappy for ONE evening)
ME: I’m sorry about being hard the other night, let me make it up to you. We’ll go to London for the day, do some shopping, have some lunch, spend the day together.
GIRL: OK. That sounds great.

GIRL: I’m not sure I want to get into a relationship with anyone at the moment. I do really like you though but I can’t do it at the moment and don’t want to lead you on, but know I still really like you.
ME: Errr, what the fuck? You really like me, but don’t want anything to happen?
GIRL: Pretty much.
ME: I have no idea what to say to that at all.
This has been my life for the past three weeks. I’m literally going to push my face into a wood chipper because of this fucking girl soon. I daren’t even try and figure out what she’s going to come out with next; “Oh, by the way, I still like you and I’ve realised I do want to be with you. OK?”. At which point, I’ll just plaster the back of my head across the wall behind my sofa in rage because I know I’ll jump at the chance.
